Bio 

 Steve was born in California and grew up in the Los Angeles area and began playing guitar at age 8. He later moved to the Bay Area and continued learning the guitar. Steve moved back to Southern California in the early ’70s to attend Azusa Pacific University, where he was involved in the music program.  

Steve had the privilege of studying music composition four years privately with Jai Josefs (author of “Writing Music for Hit Songs”) and later studying with Steve Seskin. In 2011 Steve competed in the National Finger Style Guitar Championships in Winfield Kansas.  

Steve and his co-writer Ken Klar had their song – Come to The Table – on rotation with FM Christian radio nationally. Come to The Table was released in a songbook and CD by Song Discovery (worshipleader.com) to over 20,000 churches. Steve has released 6 CD’s which include Hymns for Guitar, Hymns for Guitar Vol II, Hymns for Guitar III, Wood, Northwest and Come to The Table. His emphasis is on finger-style guitar tab and technique.  

Hymns for Guitar has 4.6  million streams on Pandora. 

Steve lives in Medford, Oregon with his wife Barbara and daughter Rachael.
